I’m Roya Sabeti, a millennial living in San Francisco.
I’m obsessed with DIY and using technology to make life more seamless. I’m a plant mom, and spend my weekends working my way through a DIY project (usually with a glass of wine in hand), checking tasks off my Asana list, or interviewing amazing female founders. I also always try to find time to explore San Francisco and discover its endless hidden gems.

Roya Sabeti
Welcome to my world.
I surprised my boyfriend Josh with a Groupmuse show a few Sundays ago. He had no idea where we were going or what we were doing until we arrived and someone mentioned live music. :P
If you haven’t experienced a Groupmuse, you’re missing out! Groupmuse is chamber music concerts at various homes with your friends, or in this case with your neighbors on a rooftop!
You might have read my post a few weeks back about creating a Plan B that doesn’t suck….
Well luckily, my Plan A was a success! I got the apartment. We signed the lease and finalized last Sunday, anyone who has ever lived in SF knows that’s a huge victory.
Guiding Principle Number # 5 ~ If you don’t ask the answer is 100% “no”, if you ask there is some possibility (even if it’s a tiny one) that the answer just might be “yes”.
Sometimes we tell ourselves “no” before we’ve even asked…
Guiding Principle Number #8 ~ Always Have a Plan B That Doesn’t Suck.
Life Plan
In life we always have a Plan A. We dream, we imagine, we do everything within our reach to make Plan A work.
I took a Pilates class last night and at the very end the instructor said something that really rubbed me the wrong way.She ended the class by having us do “girl push-ups”.
I know she didn’t mean it in a bad way… And after class was over I almost left without saying anything, and even though it felt super awkward I JUST HAD to say something.
TBH typically I’m not a huge movie goer but I’ve always enjoyed seeing the superhero movies in theatre.
I was super excited that FINALLY there was a superhero movie with a female lead. I knew I would have some feels but I what I didn’t expect to feel was angry. Yes angry.
The Worthy Girl's Guide to San Francisco's Resources
If you’re bootstrapping or on a low budget I highly recommend getting your creative hustle on and tapping into your network to utilize your resources by following these tips:
Go Against the Flow, is movement to encourage 1 million women to be entrepreneurs by the end of 2017, to host a screening and panel discussion. They are creating awareness in the tech community by providing a platform for women to share their stories and find mentors to help them navigate through challenges.

Guiding Principle #24 Setting Audacious Goals & Remove Limiting Beliefs
New Years is one of my favorite times of year.
Ever since I was a little kid I would be so excited to get my brand new notebook and gelly pens just so I could write out my goals for the year.
As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized the importance of reflecting on the past in order to understand what worked, and what didn’t work, to iterate and improve for the future.
As I began thinking about what I wanted to accomplish this year a quote by Steve Jobs came to mind.
